Today's adventure: Jacob gets his cast off. The nurse used a little rotary saw that freaked us both out, until she ran it directly over his skin to show us that it couldn't cut through flesh. Scary...

I had a full leg cast once. Imagine where a full leg cast ends. A huge man with a saw in his hands assured me I would not be cut. I was interning at the time; I knew about saws that cut bone but not tissue (same principle), but that was small comfort. Yes, scary begins to describe it! :-)

I had many casts growing up, but no one ever thought to photograph the process of getting it or getting it off. Great photo, I love the look on his face!
He looks terrified and happy at the same time!
I really like the angle and composition of this one. I like how the "canvas" is divided into segments bu the two hands doing the cutting, the saw itself and the cast. Cool shot!
