Dr. Dewey
The incomparable Dr. Arthur (Art) Dewey.
Margaret posted the photo of the two of us at our Theological Dinner last night, but I wanted to remember our favorite professor. She and I are co-presidents of his fan club. :)
We laughed when we spotted him because Dr. Dewey is never without his camera. In our first class (Pauline Writings) together (Margaret and I with Dr. D), during one lecture, Dr. Dewey paused, lifted his camera and shot the sunset out the window... and then as quickly as he clicked the shutter, he resumed his lecture without missing a beat. He takes pictures of every class to remember them by. He's the only teacher I've ever had who does that.
Last night we engaged in a camera duel wherein we tried to outshoot each other and as this photo reveals, I won! :) Clicked my shot before he got his camera to his eye.
So this is my tribute to a wonderful, life-changing teacher. Thanks Dr. Dewey for who you are and all you do.

Jacob loses the cast
Today's adventure: Jacob gets his cast off. The nurse used a little rotary saw that freaked us both out, until she ran it directly over his skin to show us that it couldn't cut through flesh. Scary...
Cell phone camera today. Forgot the Nikon. Worked out as it whited out all backgrounds making a better b&w pic. Click on the thumbnail below for close up of the blade.

Still runs
Finally Noah makes an appearance on the 365 blog. He showed up this afternoon and I quickly grabbed the camera. (Sorry for the double post today, but I had to remember this day especially.) Noah's giving up his car for the sake of school so he can work less and study more. Cars are expensive.
Today was a sad day as we said good-bye to the faithful camry. Let me just add quickly: that dent comes from the car accident I had in his car. Never once did he complain about it.
We'll miss the old girl.

Fresh air and sunshine help
Self-Portrait in goggles, originally uploaded by juliecinci.
Seems I remember to do self-portraits at the ski slopes. I liked this one because of the way the light hit the goggles. The sponge lining sparkled!
Here are my rental skis in a detail shot:
Jumping for Joy
Johannah orchestrated a series of fun photos outside in the snow. I've put them in a set here. Couldn't resist posting these since they are so cute and remind me of how they spent the evening after the storm blew through.
