Like several of you other 365'ers have shared, I find it a challenge to balance my desire to take creative photos (testing my eye) against my desire to catalog/photojournal my life this year. I have plenty of great subject matter around me in the form of family, friends, nature and college, so I've decided to try to do both - an artistic capture of my year as it was lived.

My two favorite shots of yours this month are the rolled-up-window-shade flower and the tree shapes in the beach, but you've had a bunch of great shots this month, I think. I notice you cheated in your mosaic and included a few alternate shots--glad you got in the "hips don't lie" shot too.
Actually, I decided to include 36 shots a month. I always have a few I want to include for my memory's sake that are family or whatever that go beyond the month's total number of days. So I just decided 36 (6x6 mosaic) after the first month and it makes me feel all comfy when I select photos.
Glad you liked the "hips" photo. No one commented and I thought perhaps it was just not that interesting after all. :)
I commented on the Flickr version. It's hard sometimes when you don't get coments on pics you like--makes you wonder if they aren't as good as you thought or if people just aren't comenting for some other reason.
Ha! I don't know how I missed that. :) Thanks. I love your self-portraits. You've given me some ideas.
