What fascinates me about this photo is the way the colors pop through. I really enjoy working with color - finding them in the window or sky or wall or a nearby cup or plate.
These little dead violets looked forlorn on the counter until I got behind the camera and started moving the frame around and found color and fuzziness. Amazing how cool this project is.
I really love this shot! I never new dead flowers had so much "life" to them!
What project? I must go read previous days to discover. I need a new project for my camera! I have been slacking off terribly in this department since my sprained ankle!
Project 365, silly. :) That's all I meant. I would never have thought abut photographing dead flowers with colors behind them until this daily photo thing.

Such a gorgeous shot, it offers so much delicacy and sadness and even hope, somehow. I like the colors that you captured and the emotion too.
This one is really nice. I love the lighting and the little fuzzies!
cool macro! i love the texture of the petals & stems.
Love this one, Julie. Yes, it's really interesting how photography can bring to life seemingly lifeless subjects.
That's a beautiful close up. Wonderful.
I tried to comment on this photo yesterday, and blogger wouldn't let me. (I don't remember what I said, but I am sure it was something profound.)
