It's been awhile since I could see the mile markers on the trail around Sharon Woods lake. The walk in the sunshine brought a thaw inside me, too, and helped me see some markers for my future.
I like this photo, on a couple of levels! Like you, I was out walking yesterday and appreciating how the road and paths were opening up a bit and revealing what was underneath. (I almost took a picture of a sewer cover-LOL!) I can almost feel the sunshine and hear the crunch of ice bits under foot and sense that winter is starting to relinquish its hold.
I'm still trying to figure out how you run on that? And while I'm at it, let me say how impressed I am with your running and also your motivation, energy, passion and devotion. I feel I've lost all of that lately ~ in my biking specifically, but also in life in general.
Love the shot. It really captures both ends of the spectrum ~ how cold and gray things are as well as the slow progress into warmer days (and hope/longing for spring).
Maybe I should come make that trek and do some thawing out and life marker-ing. (I really love how these blogs can be a way to inspire us to put words to things happening inside.
Laura said -- so well -- exactly what I was thinking, "I really love how these blogs can be a way to inspire us to put words to things happening inside."

You are inspiring me to want to walk. Walk, not run. I need to take some life coaching from you to figure out how to fit it in!
