These are some of my advanced composition students at our co-op called the Learning Tree. They are writing timed essays practicing for the ACT. From back to front: Susan, Lee Ann, and Allie.
We have been practicing timed essays since we came back from Christmas, it is not going well. So far only 2 out of the 15 doing it can complete an intelligent essay in 30 minutes, I don't know what they are going to do when I shorten the time :(
I like your picture. The ones of the kids in the snow are wonderful too! Great memories.
Two years ago Nicole took the ACT and did a timed essay, scored very high and then found out they weren't going to use the scores. The powers to be decided that Nicole's freshman group would be the "trial" year and they neglected to tell the students that. OK, just a little memory jog there.
Your students are blessed to have you. I like the way you captured their intensity in this photo.

The three girls look like sisters.

Susan
I like the expression on the middle girl's face and the angle at which you took the shot.
I am echoing Dali, I love how middle girl is looking up to find her thoughts...I do that!! As if I know they are up there somewhere.
