Today found me out to lunch with some of my dearest homeschooling friends. Toni (second from the left) turned fifty and we celebrated at Don Pablo's. I loved the colorful background! Found ourselves talking about grandchildren, adult children and menopause... yes, I really am in that age group now. :)

365 challenge:
One of the tough things about these one-a-day photos is how many good pictures I'm not posting to this blog! I have a "day in the life of" collection that is growing and think I'll use it for tomorrow. If anyone else has been accumulating a day's worth of typical outings in pictures, I'd love to see yours too. A bit like Donna's self-portrait challenge and Nikki, Laura and Carol's 24 hour day shots. Mine will be a composite of several days (in about 5 shots), but will show some of the sights on my regular routine through the lens of a camera. If you want to join me in doing it, let me know. Could be fun.

Well, I guess homeschooling keeps you young. Toni looks great, and so do her friends!
Happy birthday, Toni!
I love Don Pablo's; I haven't found one here in Northern Virginia, so I only have fond memories of the one back in Mobile.
I only see water glasses on the table; I know it was a lunch, but surely there were some celebratory margaritas in the mix.....

I love the colors in the background, and you got a good shot of every single woman. Wow.
I have a Flickr "set" of work related photos, and have been thinking of walking my route to work to get some of the good photos I can't while driving. I also have a Piedmont Park "set" for all I see on my daily walks. I guess I had sort of the same idea as you...what is my day like At this rate, it will have to be a book!! :-) When are you doing this; where will you post them?
Laura, I think I'll do it tomorrow to clear out some of the photos I keep wanting to post but that keep being usurped by extraorodinary events. I want to include my regular life, not just outings, kwim?
I have been thinking about doing the day in the life of for a while, this may just be the time to do it. Tomorrow should be pretty typical. Maybe I will even work that self portrait into the bunch :)
Fun Times!
Susan
Beautiful colors and great shot of yor friends!
I'll try for the "regular routine" shots. I may not be able to post them until Sun/Mon though. I look forward to seeing yours!
It's nice that you have a close group of friends like this, Julie. Again, I remember when you moved back East and felt so misplaced, but you have definitely found your way. Good for you! : )
I'd like to do a "day in the life" series at some point, just not sure when it's going to happen...
