69: Wedded Perfection

Not allowed to take photos of the exhibit so we settled for a self-timed shot outside of it (you can see the exhibit label peeking through on the right). The Cincy Art Museum is one of our favorite haunts.

68: The last bus stop

Today marks the end of busses for high school students of Lakota School District. (sob!) I happened to be at the main intersection when our neighborhood bus passed me, having dropped off the last load of kids. I was elated that the light stayed red as I caught two busses in my rear view mirror (the one descending the hill and a tiny one at the top of the other hill, coming up behind me). Good thing my camera was already out of my purse!

67: Winter sanity

= my ski pass.

I took several of these chair lift photos, but love the way the pulley made it into the view here.  Adds depth and a frame, I think. This shot uses the antique effect. I liked the way it whitened the snow and made the colors pop.

66: Ah honey, honey

Tuesday's poetry teatime makes a rare appearance on a snow day. Honey and lemon (rather than milk) for my tea, with our lemony scones. So nice.

64: My fashionista

I take 8-10 photos a day of Caitrin for her fashion blog (Popping Sequins). She gave me permission to share it here, but asked that if you make comments, you don't mention me (or that you know her). Ha!

I included a PDF below of a sample of the shots from a shoot. What an original she is!

63: Low Tech Solutions of the BMV

I've been coming to this Bureau of Motor Vehicles for nearly 12 years and they are still using the same laminated handwritten yellow "take-a-numbers" from a century ago. I particularly like the important highlighted reminder (on January 8) that the BMV will be closed on December 24th and 25th. Gotta plan ahead! And "good thing" there's a paper clip on the license-plate-style-admonition to take a seat!?

Funny aside: I got my new license with my old new last name. Sure enough, best photo on a driver's license ever for me. And then I noticed that I signed the card "JBogart." Ugh! They had to take another photo for another license! Phew, photo is fine, and I intended to post my new identity here... but went to a "privacy on the Internet" meeting last night and realized you should NEVER post your PHOTO ID with all your private information ON THE INTERNETS! Hence, you get the low tech photo instead. :)
