Took Rocky to his annual vet appt. yesterday and came home $186.00 poorer. When did dog care become so expensive? (He also needs to be put under for a teeth cleaning to the tune of... I dare not admit!)
The cost of "health care" for pets is almost obscene. I have to think of my pets like I would a hobby that costs money. My pets enrich my life, and I'm willing to spend the money. But wow! what a shock when yearly check-up comes along. Especially for two dogs and a cat. Our "free" kitten cost us almost $400 by the time we had all his shots, declawing and neutering.
BUT... they make me smile every day, even on the most stress-filled days. It's still cheaper than a psychiatrist! ;-)
