I'm shamelessly stealing this photo from Margaret's blog since she had the good camera tonight. She's not in this photo, though, drat! I hope she posts more photos for me to take.
Anyway, this is Meghan, a faithful lurking blog reader, I found out tonight! She's also another '07 theology grad. It was great to finally be able to celebrate with Meghan, Margaret and me all together, proud possessors of sheepskin, etc. etc.
Much irreverence attended the evening out and I drank a wonderful "After Five" coffee drink: Kahlua, Baileys, peppermint Schnapps, coffee and whipped cream. Delicious!

Backyard Farm
Hopefully this is the last cell phone photo. No blue! I love the shape of this windmill, though. We were at a friend's graduation party and this is her little plot of land that she cultivates. I'm so impressed with people who grow things.
Encore cafe
First cell phone pic. Due to quality limits, I am working to create interest in content. :) Well, this may not qualify but we had fun eating out after Jon left town.
I'm also taking photos with, gasp, real film in my Very Nice Camera. It will need to be developed.
Lastly, we're buying Johannah's camera for college this weekend so I may be able to "use" it for the week. So we'll see...

Rose Parade, here we come!
Jacob's marching band from Lakota West High School has been invited to the 2008 Rose Parade in Pasadena CA. They're marching every day and he goes to band camp tomorrow for a week. It's a huge honor to be invited and a first for this state champ marching band. For us (the Bogarts), it has special meaning. Johannah was born in Pasadena and Jon and I lived there when we first met. I've been to numerous Rose Parades.
What will make this year even better is if UCLA goes on the run it's supposed to this fall, beating SC at the end of the season, and landing itself in the Rose Bowl!! Come on Bruins!!
I love this photo because of the way the red track reflects in the tuba horns. To see Jacob's sax section, you can click on his name at the top.

Company
Last night was the first meeting for "She Who Is" (a discussion of feminist theology for a new church called Nexus). I enjoyed putting together my little coffee set up. It's been a long time since a group for any reason met in my home.

Strawberry
I'm behind on my photo days. Life is a blur currently. Tomorrow, Jon goes out of town for a week taking the camera with him so my photography will have to be "really" creative (as in, cell phone photos....).
