I suddenly realized Sunday night that I would not only miss Johannah when she leaves Thursday, but her best friend would no longer be hanging out in her room with her. And that made me profoundly sad. :(
Yeah, for me, part of the sadness of the summer ending is not just my own kids going to college, but their friends leaving as well. I see my own kids pretty often, but many of their friends I won't see until Thanksgiving.

Sweet pic and such true reflections. When our two oldest went off to college, all the giggling teen girls went with them. I do miss those days.
