Jeff, I did crop it but barely. I couldn't even tell the difference between the two when I tried to remember if I had. In fact, I'm not sure why I did because the difference is tiny.
My camera has a close-up setting that seems to do an impressive job for such a little camera.
Looks to me like you were taking pictures of a spiral notebook instead of studying. ;) LOL What a great diversion! I love the photo - great depth and clarity.
