Snow Storm: Cincinnati

Snow day

The snow shows up better in the larger version of this b&w photo found at flickr.

Here's a color shot to reveal the cardinal that finally stayed put for a photo. They love the feeders during the snow.

My cardinal in the snow

What a day! The roads are closed, school got out an hour early in time for the storm, and we spent the afternoon with a fire roaring, hot chocolate, and watching "Pride and Prejudice."

That cardinal in the snowy branches is just wonderful. Goodness!

And I love the ones with your kids looking out. It has that perfect energy of excitement to it :).

You are getting really damn good at this girl!

(p.s. are you ignoring me, freakishly busy, or just not getting email from me?!?)

Beautiful pictures and I love the excitement portrayed in the first photograph.

The first one is fun! The Cardinal is beautiful! You all got the storm that just missed us. I didn't even get a dusting!! Is one good snow day too much to ask for :)

I so wish we had cardinals out here! They're so lovely, and this picture is beautiful. Now that our weather has calmed down, I'm almost yearning for another snow day. (Sshhhh...don't tell anyone I said that!) A snow day without violent Artic winds, that is. So nice to hunker down, isn't it?

Cardinals are my favotire bird - I love to see the males and females together because their colors are so different.

Great picture of the kids, too!

I really enjoy both these pictures Julie. Energy and anticipation in the first one, and the just plain beautiful cardinal in the fluffy snow--wonderful.
