Oh that is just fabulous! I know you and she are both really proud of such an accomplishment! Tell her congratulations; whatever she chooses, she'll do well. I love the excitement of the picture.

Yay! That's good news with which I identify. I especially like the acceptance letters that come with offers of MONEY. ;-)

LOVE IT! She looks like the girl in the brochure.

CONGRATS to both of you!!

Yeah, well no offers of money yet. This is a state school after all. :) But we're just glad to know she'll be going to college no matter what. This would be a great fit so any other acceptances are just gravy at this point.

Phew. Somehow I always worry that I will have left something out. Nice to know I didn't.

Athena applied to Ohio State too :) She would really like to be in their dance program. Her audition is in February. It would be cool if they ended up at the same school.

We've found out that state schools do seem to be slower to offer everything, including money. Dd has been accepted to a couple private and/or out of state schools, but U of I right here in our home state hasn't even gotten around to sending out their acceptance letters to early-applicant in-state kids. It's like they know they've got an "in" and don't have to work as hard as the other schools to reel in prospective students. The private schools know they have to level the tuition-cost playing field right away by offering money or they'll lose too many kids to the cheaper state schools.

We're hoping dd makes her choice sooner rather than later.

Congratulations to Johannah (and her homeschooling mom!).

I just love the excitement and happiness in this picture (and the colors too - Johannah looks so good in that color!).

Omigosh, I am just going to keep gushing and gushing on these photoblogs about everyone's incredible talents at this medium. Johannah's enthusiasm is palpable in this photo. Makes me want to break out a botttle of bubbly. Although I have to admit I always think of your children as too unique for a big state school like OSU. Any-hoo, congratulations to *both* of you! : )

LOL Colleen! Johannah wants total conventionality and hugeness. :) I was the same way. It's the appeal of endless new people to meet and the fascination of being in something much bigger than yourself or any part therein. She loves overwhelming experiences as long as there are lots and lots of human beings involved.

But we're still waiting to hear from two smaller schools: Boston College and Notre Dame. So we'll see if those (hard to get into) schools give her an alternative to consider.

Yesterday she was already trying to think about roommates from her high school so I know she's happy. :)
